Bonus Issue: Upcoming Breathwork Workshops
With Taylor Somerville and Trevor Bird
Breathwork is one of the most effective ways to control anxiety and calm the nervous system. Several studies have shown that deep breathing, specifically belly breathing that activates the vagus nerve, significantly reduces the stress response in the body. The vagus nerve runs from your brain all the way down to the belly, with branches that extend into your throat, heart, and lungs. When properly stimulated through deep breathing, the nerve regulates the nervous system’s response by turning down the intensity of stress and anxiety.
I am a certified XPT breathwork coach and understand the power that comes with learning how to manipulate breath in order to mitigate the body’s stress response. Because I don’t work with clients but want to spread the knowledge, I’m sharing two different upcoming breathwork workshops hosted by Trevor Bird and Taylor Somerville, both of whom are doing amazing work in the anxiety and healing space.
Though these two events are not affiliated with one another, they work well together in the sense that Trevor’s event is an introduction to breathwork and Taylor’s is a fantastic follow up for those who go deep into the practice.
Lastly, I’m not getting any sort of kickback from sharing these two events with you. I believe in both of these men and the work they’re doing, and want to get it out to as many people as I can.

Valentine’s Day Couple’s Breathwork hosted by Trevor Bird
The first is a Valentine’s Day Couple’s Breathwork session hosted by Trevor Bird, Internal Family Systems (IFS) practitioner and founder of Inner World.

Trevor and I have similar backgrounds. We’re both cooks whose life in the kitchen ultimately led us down a path of inner healing. Trevor is particularly talented when it comes to helping men break down traditional masculinity barriers and address root issues.
Because he’s a chef, you’ll also get a cooking bonus as part of the workshop! In addition to the breathwork event, you will enjoy a 1-year free membership (valued $399) to the Inner World community and receive links Trevor’s virtual cooking classes, shopping lists, and recipes to create a special and memorable Valentine’s Day dinner.

4-Week Breathwork Course hosted by Taylor Somerville
Taylor Somerville is an XPT Certified Coach and owner of Symmetry based out of Memphis, Tennessee. Taylor is a true expert on the anatomy, science, and method behind using breath to relieve anxiety and manage stress. This 4-week long workshop is a perfect way to dive deeper into the practice of breath and understand how to integrate it into your every day life.
When: Beginning March 1, 6:00pm CST
Cost: $400, but if you sign up by February 14th you can join for $300.
